About Mike

MikeGoSeahawksMike is currently the host of 4Tucson at 4:00 heard weekday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 on AM 1030 KVOI, The Voice.

Mike was born at a young age in Compton, California where he experienced wonderful things like the Sylmar Earthquake in 1971.  Mike moved to Portland, Oregon when he was 8. It seemed like a good idea since the rest of the family was going.

Mike grew up near Portland, went to school and all that.  While in high school he got to watch Mt. St. Helen’s blow up (from a safe distance).  Mike’s best and favorite subjects in school were math and science, so he went into broadcasting.

When he was 21 he went seeking fame and fortune in the cold cruel world.  He crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico where he started his broadcast career.  Mike’s first radio job was in 1984.

Fast forward to today (leaving tons of stuff out) Mike has over 25 years experience in radio and television both behind the scenes and in front of the camera/mic. Mike has had fun jobs like:  DJ, Photo Journalist, Reporter, Weather Anchor, Anchor and News Director.  Mike won a half dozen or so Associated Press Awards during his TV career in New Mexico and Texas.

Somewhere along the line Mike taught himself html, php and some css.  He is into this new media stuff creating blogs and online videos.  Mike’s YouTube channel is approaching 1 million views and his videos have been featured on “The Glenn Beck Show” on Fox News, TheBlaze.com, HotAir.com, MichelleMalkin.com, TammyBruce.com, Breitbart.tv and many more.  Mike is currently the host of 4Tucson at 4:00 heard weekday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 on AM 1030 KVOI, The Voice.

Mike has two kids and four grand kids!
