Jesus’ Joy of Our Salvation
![]() |
Over a month ago I wrote about how Jesus probably was strengthened at the cross by the joy of our salvation. Kind of like the joy of the Lord is our strength. Here's that previous post. This morning I was reading and found this passage:
Hebrews 12:2 "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Did you catch that? "…who for the joy set before Him endured the cross.." Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him. The joy set before Him? The salvation of those who would choose Him! I knew I wasn't crazy :-) God loved you and me so much that He sent His only Son to die on our place. Jesus was so joyful about the result of His sacrifice that He endured the cross. Now that is LOVE!
