Family Life Radio Annual Picnic – 3/01/09

Our “cruise director” Joe Neubaum organized his annual Family Life Radio Picnic. It wasn’t a Family Life Radio event, rather Joe invited many co-workers for a fun day of food, fellowship and frisbee at Catalina State Park:

Nice digs at Catalina State Park

This years event was help at the “Big Group Area” at Catalina State Park. Nice facilities and SHADE! We were near record highs around 90. It was still very comfortable in the shade. In case you were wondering, no, I still don’t believe in Global Warming!

Made in the shade

Here are some of the picnickers now! A card game broke out along with lots of visiting.

Frisbee!

There was a very large area to play catch in. At least that’s what we did! At one time we had a football and two frisbees going. Pictured here is just a mild game of frisbee.

Picnic Area

Some of us took a short hike up a hill. (“hey, take a hike.” “OK”) Here is the view of the picnic area below with the Catalina Mountains as an awesome backdrop!

Catalina Ridges

Catalina State Park is probably the best place to take pictures of the wonderful ridges on the north side of the Catalina’s.

Naturally we wanted to see who could throw the farthest!

Pusch Peak

All the way to the right is Pusch Peak. That’s the one that is near my apartment that I spend so much time hiking. Also, the ridge on Pusch Peak and the peak next to it is known as Pusch Ridge.
